Betrayal from family can hurt more than anything else. Have you ever been betrayed by a parent, sibling, or close relative? How did you cope? Do you believe forgiveness is necessary as these are your blood and bones? Do you think cutting ties the best option to heal the scar left by the betrayal?

Family would always be family. The hurts would be deep and you might avoid them for some time. But that notwithstanding, you would have to eventually forgive that family member. Blood is always thicker than water.

I have in the past been betrayed by a family member, and it is true, it hurts more than anything else. I don't believe that betrayal from a family member always leads to completely cutting ties with that family member, but maybe a break from that family member for a while to let them think about what they have done and how much it has affected the rest of the family is sometimes more than enough.
