This is a real challenge, one may be deeply in love with a person, that is having your heart in the relationship, however, the other person may be interested in you because, they see their future secured with you. You could be well-settled, have good genes, a decent job etc. And they chose to marry you for these reasons. This is the brain in the relationship. Do you think, that involving brain in a relationship is selfish? Could the brain learn to love the heart later on?

If you just want to follow your heart, you would most likely end up with a wrong person in marriage. Following your heart simply implies that you shouldn't really consider your goals in life provided you have deep feelings for the person. I won't advise anyone to follow their hearts alone. It must be a balance of emotions and logic in choosing someone to marry.

Relationship is a matter of heart. You feel love, and love is a matter of heart. However, getting married to your love of live sometimes can also be a matter of brain. When you get married, you also need money to manage your family, and if you end up marrying a person who does not have money, you will end up in a troubled married life.
