off-topic Are you willing to donate your organs when you die?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
Well, I was once nearly donating my eyes. But my cousin stopped me saying would you still be here in this place when you die for those people to collect your eyes? I had no answer. I have never thought about donating since then. But I believe it would be a good decision to donate organs like eyes or kidneys.

I didn't want to be an organ donor at first because I thought that the paramedics, etc., wouldn't focus as much on saving my life and instead try and preserve the life that they could on the other end. I know, a radical thought, but it was just something that carried with me.

I've since updated to being an organ donor since I already donate blood so much.

Plus, I will more likely than not die in Japan and have to be cremated. The only thing left after that are bones, so if the organs can help someone before they're burned, then so be it.

Being an organ donor always used to worry me. There are so many things that go around in your head, such as would I be helped or saved if they knew I was an organ donor, and this one is crazy, even the thought of coming back to life during the taking of organs, crazy, I know.

Nowadays, though, when I think about it, I am more pushed to be an organ donor, knowing that I would be able to help people live a better life. When I am gone, I don't need them, so why not allow someone else who needs them?
