There is a rampant rise in hush-hush conversion of people of various faiths into others. Some are done for political interest while others for a more absurd reason like turning the whole world into one religion. Some individuals agree to get converted for money, property or due to a threat while others do so voluntarily out of love, or because of a marriage or liking for a particular religion. However, whatever the reason behind, do you think conversion is right in the first place? Do you think, an individual born in certain faith if cannot do justice to his own faith, will he/she do any justice to the newly adopted religion? Do you think that those getting converted do not understand their primary religion well enough and hence try to adopt another one?

It doesn't bother me as long as no one tries to force it on people or try to justify the use of violence with religion.

Becoming violent in the name of religion makes you a terrorist IMO, nothing less, nothing more. You should be imprisoned for it. Those sorts of people are the cesspool of the world.

But to witness, preach, and peacefully debate, by all means, go for it :)

Same. You do you, and I'll do me.

There are exceptions that I'll make, like if I need to comfort a friend and they rely on the church too. I find having two people during those times more beneficial, from my perspective, than just relying on themselves (and the church) to get through what they need to get through.

Also, weddings and funerals are a given. I'll go to a church for services if that's where it's going to be held. But, I'll reject the flyers on the way out.

I believe religion is a private affair and people should be free to practice any religion they want as long as it does not interfere with other religions or other people. However, I am against forceful conversion. In our country, it is a crime to convert people forcefully or even by bribing. But I haven't heard of anyone getting punished just because they tried someone to forcefully convert into another religion.
