discuss Are you for sacrifice in name of rituals?

This thread covers all aspects of ideologies, including beliefs, principles, traditions, policies, and their influence on society and culture.
Well, I wouldn't say I support animal sacrifice but I do not see any issues when people practice animal sacrifice. Sacrifice is sanctioned in many religions and if you take away this privileged the people following that faith would lose important aspect of their culture. You are free not to sacrifice animals but you cannot stop someone from doing it. If you really care about animals, try stopping the cruelty in big cattle farm and slaughter houses.

No. I feel like religions that practice any form of killing are cults.
There are quite a few references in the Bible about sacrifices made, Cain and Abel, and Noah as examples. A more extreme example would be God testing Abraham's faith by commanding him to sacrifice his son Isaac, with an animal that took Isaac's place instead.

Would Christianity fall into a cult since, at one time, it was a norm?

Rituals and traditions are important, but they should always align with compassion and respect for life. Sacrifice should never cause harm or suffering, and we should always consider ethical alternatives. True spirituality comes from kindness and understanding.

I am happy that I live in the era of my religion that one doesn't need to sacrifice anything to get access to the supernatural. I believe those ritual sacrifices are so fetish and should not be encouraged.
