I have had friends that for a particular period, we were very close. Those kinds of friendships that we had to be seeing or be talking almost on a daily basis.

It just happens that close friendships with such persons last only for a particular season. After some time, the friendship starts eroding. No quarrels. No misunderstanding. But it keeps eroding till the closeness stops to exist.

Are some friendships meant to last just for a particular season?

There are some friendships that can't go beyond a particular goal. If you try to stretch it beyond that, there would be frictions. And it can easily come together again when there is a similar goal to be met. Take business friendships for instance.

I have had such relationships that only last for particular seasons. And I don't kill myself over it. I have come to accept that fact that some friendships were just meant to push you to a particular goal. It has helped me not to be clingy to people.

Most of the time friends come and go. However, sometimes you find someone who remains with you for a long time. For instance, if you move house, move town, move school, change jobs, etc. you will lose your friends. This is a common phenomena. But sometimes there will be someone who continue to be connect with you. I have a few friends who are connected with me since junior high.

I think so. I believe some friendships meant to last just for a particular season. People move in and out of our lives. So it is very normal to me
