discuss Are Reboots Necessary?

Hollywood is constantly rebooting old movies. Do you think the rebooting of old movies offer fresh perspective to the modern generation of cinema goer, do you think some classics be left alone as they are? Do you think reboots destroys the movie or do you think reboots are necessary for the modern generation to learn about old movies?

Not all reboots are necessary. I have come across several reboots that end up destroying the original movie and what it stands for. Sometimes I feel most reboots are just a way for them ripoff some profit from the original work.

Creating a new version of an old movies is great. I like reboot because they remind us of the old stories and from a fresh perspective. It refreshed the old story, making the new fans to find it more entertaining to watch.

A reboot should only be done if you have the proper cast, crew, and script.

If you can't live up to the original, don't even try.

Some reboots are necessary, some are not. If a reboot adds something to the original or improves it in some way, then that is fine, But some want to redo what already exists, and I cannot agree with those.
