Recently, a blast in a fertility clinic in America drew attention to a new type of philosophy which states that the world has far exceeded its carrying capacity and that now new people should not be birthed and the one already on earth must start to die.

I knew a friend who had shared a similar ideology but has since changed his ways post his marriage.

What are your views on this?

I wonder what could've changed his view...

🤔

Very sad outlook on life, good riddance to him. He should've taken it out to the forest instead of shutting down a clinic — temporarily, hopefully — for families that could've been benefiting from the clinic.

I think this sort of ideology is something people need to go on a watch list for.

To me, it's borderline terroristic to think new births shouldn't happen and that people need to start dying. What if they believe it so much that they try to start making it a reality? Then it's definitely terrorism.

It's not a sad outlook IMO, it's an EVIL outlook.

There are too many people in the world and I don't like people anyway but that doesn't mean existing people must die or that you can't be a parent. What I can't understand, though, is why some women are so desperate for a baby (despite being a woman) and why fertility treatment is of such importance. Inability to conceive is not life threatening and parenthood is a privilege not a right.

Some people think it is cool to be pessimist or nihilist. Those who truly believe in this thought and do not see any point in life, in living, they should know if there was no point in living, why was this world formed, why life began and flourished in the world. There is a purpose on life.
