I just don't get it. When it comes to Trump, I see three possibilities:

1) He knows exactly what he’s doing, but it’s all for personal gain—he doesn’t actually care about the country, just himself.
2) He’s completely winging it, but enough people buy into the nonsense that he keeps getting away with it.
3) We’ve completely misunderstood him, and he’s actually playing 4D chess - his tariffs, policies, and general approach are all part of some grand strategy we just don’t have the ability to comprehend.

He has been universally condemned for his tariff policy across the globe. He has said the US will annex Greenland. He is cozying up to Putin. And people still support him? I just don't get it. Which is the right answer?

Well, Trump is part of a larger group of anti-globalists. You can see a lot of their arguments on the website Banned dot Video.

Basically, this group believes the globalists are trying to enslave and kill humanity with covid, AI, robots, you name it and they point to people like Bill Gates and Fauci as proof.

So, anyway, they hate globalists so much that they can't see the evil in Putin, Trump, Orban, the Argentine guy, etc.

That sounds about right, but that doesn't mean I agree with whatever is in the back of his mind.

For instance, the Canada thing probably is to secure the US from Chinese and Russian attack, but he's going about it the wrong way. He's emasculating (sissy-fying) Canada and it's just driving them to our enemies, and even if Canada is forced into the US, then, well, we'd just have a resentful population similar to the Irish being controlled by Britain.
