discuss AI's Role in Fake News Detection

A thread covering the latest news on trends, groundbreaking technologies, and digital innovations reshaping the tech landscape.
A detection system for fake news should integrate both AI technologies with human capabilities to perform checks. Large datasets will get processed swiftly by AI algorithms but human fact-checkers give analyses and important details to every situation. The collaboration between our efforts will establish an advanced fake news detection system which protects digital communities from misinformation.

The analysis capability of artificial intelligence can help to detect false news or stories effectively but it cannot resolve the problem completely. AI has the ability to recognize abnormal patterns in text and it can trace dishonest platforms to warn us about possible fraudulent news.
I can’t wait till the day Google and Bing rolls out the label “AI news article” on their search engines, especially on their Overviews section along with the main search engines.

They have the tech to do it.

A lot of click bait sites wouldn’t be able to succeed with this method being interpreted.

There are two sides to every story. So, should we put full faith in Google — that has a known left-leaning bias — to label news as "fake"?

There are obviously news articles that are fake and can be debunked right away.

But, let's rewind to 2020-2022 and assume this tech was available then. Would it be programmed to ignore certain C-19 studies in favor of mainstream outlet coverage?
