discuss Age Is Never a Barrier, Is It So?

It is a common though that age is never a barrier. How true is this?

In order to learn something, age does not matter. You can start learning at any age. It is said of Socrates that he was trying to learn flute when the death sentence was already passed upon him. You might be young, you might be old, you might be experienced, you might be a novice, and if you have predilections for learning, you can start learning at any time.

Does this stand true to you as well?

For me, I am still learning a lot of new things. I recently learnt how to ride a bicycle! I learnt a new language few months back and there is still something new I am learning of recent. So yes, for me, learning is an ongoing process regardless of age. It is the interest and dedication that really matters.

Well I applied for a scholarship opportunity, it was all going well until I realized I'm above the age requirement. In this case, I guess you can say age is a barrier.

Age is not a barrier but there is time for everything. Trying to do something when you have already passed the time to do that thing would always be difficult for you. A 50 year old man can learn calculus from scratch but it would be very difficult for him to accomplish than a 16 year old. Age is never a barrier but there is time for everything.

Life can be so short, and if you live your life believing that age matters for certain things, you will find that you miss out on so much.

You are only as old as you feel, and age should never be a number that defines what you want to do or learn.

As far as one is committed to anything, age is the least factor that can limit such a person. I also believe that age is not a barrier. I have seen great persons that are able to achieve something great even when they started at a very advanced age.
