other Young Adult Fiction for All Ages

Even though I am past that age I still love YA books. I think they are just as compelling as adult fiction. Do you read YA, and if so, what draws you to it? What’s a YA book you would recommend to someone skeptical of the genre?

I never read young adult literature, even when I was young adult. I read Dickens, LR Stevenson, HG Wells, etc. during my young adult days. Even though their literature fascinated young adult audience, they were not primarily written fore young adults
