discuss Will Pep Guardiola's divorce have a negative impact on Manchester City?

A thread for live match analysis, player performances, scores, highlights, fan predictions, and general sports discussions across all sports.
This was definitely going to happen because they have not been living together for some time. The wife wanted to focus on her business in Spain and she was not ready to be moving all over the place with her husband. But Pep's job requires moving to wherever he gets a coaching job. Pep is a professional; he will get over it; I don't think it will affect his commitment at City.

Pep is human and would surely be devastated with this situation. It is really difficult having to part with someone that you have known all your life and had good companionship with. He is a top professional coach and that won't make him get his tactics wrong or choose the wrong players for a match.

Yeah, that's very correct. It's not only losing his wife that would be worrying him but also how to deal with his 3 kids and custody unless the wife doesn't want to make it very difficult for him.

I don't think the wife would make it difficult for him. I heard that they parted on mutual terms and everything was amicable. I know that no matter how amicable it was, it would truly be difficult for both of them to handle.

Pep must have been emotionally traumatised and with the demands that accompanies his job at Manchester City, he may not have the time to heal properly because there are games to play. I really empathise with him.

Pep Guardiola is a very strong man. For him to hide all he's going through like nothing ever happened. Another person would have broken down or start unnecessary drama with interviews.

You know, there's a popular saying in Africa that says, "It's not easy to be a man." I don't know if you have heard about it. Truth be told, Pep Guardiola is a man of steel.

Indeed, he deserves an accolade for standing strong despite the family problems. Now Manchester City qualified for the champions League playoffs.
He is proof that you can still be productive even in the face of personal problems.

Arsenal humiliated us last weekend but I wasn't surprised because Haaland's action towards their coach Arteta in the first leg was a very big respect. I knew Arsenal will be coming to that match for a kill and that's exactly what happened.
