I’ve actually been hitting the gym lately and I think I'm overdoing it. My elbows and wrists are starting to hurt. I tried to stretch but it's not working.
Yes, I also think you must have been overdoing it. I think repetitive weightlifting can cause the pain. I’ll advise you to warm up properly before workouts.
I just checked the possible solution to it now. And I will strongly recommend try wrist curls and rotations with light dumbbells. You can also do pushups as well.
There are several reasons for this. Since you have been exercising, the two most likely are overexertion and exercise-related injuries. Perhaps you are overdoing it, doing too many reps, or lifting too heavy.
The other and less likely option, again since you have been hitting the gym, are underlying issues like early onset arthritis (there are too many types to name here) or tendinitis.
Despite the big words, they are both manageable.
Arthritis is treatable using different medications and other homeopathic treatments, while you can treat tendinitis with enough rest, physical therapy (look up the right exercises and activities), and medication (avoid opioids unless for very short periods because they can lead to dependency).
I would give the body hot and cold treatments and rest for a day or two, go easy on the exercises, and see a doctor if things continue along the same path and I have not felt better in a day or two.

Bad form can place undue stress on your joints putting you at risk for elbow and wrist pain. You may be over doing exercise or not doing it enough and that may be causing the pain. If you check your form and make adjustments you can get rid of the discomfort.
