Ilia Topuria and Alex Pereira are the two UFC fighters whom have been very exceptional this year 2024 in their fights in the octagon.

Alex Potan Pereira knocked out Jamal Hill, Jiří Procházka and Khalil Rountree Jr to retain his UFC Light Heavyweight Championship while Ilia Topuria knocked out Alexander Volkanovski to become the new UFC Featherweight Champion and defended the championship by knocking out Max Holloway.

Who do you think is suppose to be UFC's fighter of the year?

This shouldn't even be up for debate as far as I'm concerned because Alex Potan Pereira is clearly in the clear with his inputs in UFC this year. Beating those 4 guys was unbelievable. Ilia Topuria did well too but Alex was way better.

The thing is that the Alex vs Khalil Rountree Jr fight wasn't want people wanted. They wanted to see Alex vs Magomed Ankalaev booked but instead, they were given Khalil Rountree Jr whom everyone believed to be as easy match for Alex. This is why Ilia Topuria is being considered because of the two guys he fought whom appeared to be a much tougher opponents.

The thing is that the Alex vs Khalil Rountree Jr fight wasn't want people wanted. A lot analysis was made on Khalil Rountree Jr being able to go toe to toe with Alex and most of them wrote him off but he was able to bring the fight to Alex. He is the only who survived Alex punching to 4th round after Israel Adesanya who made it to the 5th round with Alex. He was a real warrior.
