discuss Who is the master of the passing game in football now?

Back in the days, we used to have great passers of the ball like Xavi, Scholes, Carrick, Xabi Alonso. You would love how those players controlled games and dictated play through long and short passes.

In this era of football, who would you call the passing maestro?

Kevin De Bruyne seems to me as the best passer in the world today. Modric and Kroos can easily be adjudged as the best passers but their level has dropped a little bit. I also find Madison of Spurs to be quite a excellent at passing. I have seen some flashes of brilliant passing from Cole Palmer. But KDB is for me the best passer now.

Among masters of passes in soccer, I find Kevin De Bruyne, Luka Modric, and Rodri to be the greatest.

There was a time that Jorginho was heralded as a great passer. That brings me to the question, what determines a great passer in football? I thought it is supposed to be someone that is accurate with long and short passes. Meanwhile, I consider Bruno Fernandez a great passer too even though he is not top 7.

I can't believe no one mentioned Toni Kross so far from all that have named players. Before Toni Kross's retirement, I wouldn't choose any player above him when it comes to being the pass master. Right now, it's KDB and Bruno Fernandes.
