Life often presents us with opportunities that come with an inherent risk of failure. But here’s the real question: is it worse to fail after trying or to never try at all?

Failing can be uncomfortable. It can sting and leave you questioning your decisions. But failure is also a teacher. It shows you what doesn’t work, builds resilience, and often paves the way for growth. Many of the world’s most successful people faced repeated failures before achieving greatness.

On the other hand, never trying might feel safer. You avoid the pain of failure, but at what cost? The regret of “what could have been” can linger far longer than the disappointment of failing. Never trying limits your potential and robs you of the chance to learn, grow, and perhaps succeed.

So, what do you think? Is it better to take the risk and fail, or to play it safe and never try?

The regret for never trying is definitely worse because you would never know if you are going to succeed or not.
Bingo.

It's okay to fail, but it's never okay not to try. If you fail, pick yourself back up, reevaluate, and try again or realize it's not something that is for you and move on to try something new.

That regret will eat at you if you never try, especially if you have close peers that did try and succeeded because you could've easily done it knowing that they did, but as time is critical, you don't get a chance at trying in some cases.

When we see failure for what it is, we would understand that not trying at all is tragic. Failure is just the fact that you didn't get all the strategies right. You can correct it and get the strategy right to achieve what you wanted. Not trying at all? Just means that you are stagnant. And you can't achieve anything with that.

I believe that these who tried and didn't succeed should learn from it. That is what life is all about. Pushing to become better is great instead of not making a push at all.
