I don't think there is a bigger derby than the Manchester derby. The rivalry between the two Manchester teams is so fierce. And it has been heightened in recent times by the sudden changes in fortunes between the two Manchester clubs.
It used to be El Classico but since Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi left Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively, El Classico died off a natural death.

The popularity of the English league has made derbies in the EPL the biggest derbies in the world of football. The Manchester derby is the biggest derby followed by the London derby that features Arsenal and Chelsea. Derbies in Italy are not that popular anymore. Even the Madrid derby is not fierce any longer.
I was thinking when Mbappé went to Real Madrid, the El Classico will become intense again but Real Madrid have been struggling big time since he joined the team.
