With the recent information at my disposal, AI consulting is the most sought-after AI skill in terms of compensation. People earn good money as AI consultants. AI consultants implement AI solutions into businesses, making things a lot easier. Some other highly paid AI skills are AI research scientist, AI software engineer, and data scientist.

I don't know for now but I think skills in AI ethics could be an emerging skills that could become more and more important and lucrative in the future. Companies will require professionals who can examine fairness, transparency, and accountability in their systems as AI become part of the industry.

I would also include the technical engineers in that list.

An AI cluster could go down during the night, and it has to be physically replaced, or it could bog down the entire service until it's replaced. So, I'm sure there are people on call 24/7, and I'd like to think they get paid more than time and a half for working those shifts, especially in emergencies where they need to rebuild a system from the ground up and get it online as soon as possible.
