If you are just starting out then treadmills and exercise bikes are great. And they're not too hard on the body and they're easy to use too. Other exercises suitable for bigginners includes push ups, sit ups and chin ups. I will also include jogging for general health and fitness includes.

Either of the workout helps so much to work on your cardio. I call it endurance exercise. It's considerably easy for beginners as long as you're not pushing your body too much.
