off-topic What's on your mind today?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
The honest truth is that I am so overwhelmed right now. The workload has increased significantly and I haven't been able to discover the most suitable way to balance work and my personal life. What clouded my mind is about my future and it's causing uncertainty because I really need to make an honest decisions about my long-term goals.

My brain is messed up with thoughts right now that I find it so difficult to even focus on a single thing. My attempt to handle my tasks and focus failed because my brain refuses to turn off from those thoughts of mine. I think if I tell people about my inner thoughts, it will serves as a way to achieve better clarity on my situation. So, I ask you; what's on your mind right now and how do you deal with it?

Finding the objective of what you want to do should be most important. You can't set long-term goals if you don't know what you're aiming for.

After you find your objective, you can spiderweb paths out to get to that objective with much easier and digestible tracks so that you don't feel overwhelmed as much. Each task you do will get you closer and closer to completing the objective, but sometimes, those tracks need to be adjusted, and sometimes, even on the fly.

Write them down and forget about them. Then, as mentioned, start with the easiest first, and take the steps toward advancing. It's hard to do when the objective is always on your mind because you will always come up with new ways to get there, which may not be the correct way, and sometimes lead you astray by taking away valuable time to recover from the stress to get to it the next day overthinking it once more.

I totally get it. I've been there too. I had an issue about my marriage and it was messing up my head. Walking and stepping away from my daily activities helps me recover my mental clarity and I better understand my situation.

People easily lose track of essential matters when they are absorbed in some activities. You do not have to blame yourself for everything right now, taking things slowly through those activities that consumed you will help.

Today is one of my rough days. What keeps me focused right now is splitting my work into smaller parts. That made me feel less overwhelmed since I’m seeing the results of my tasks at each step I took.

Additionally, the solution could be to create a to-do list with prioritized tasks. This will definitely quiet your mind to help you start working as you wanted.
