Everyone who is keen about his self-health has a target to achieve. Some may aim at reducing weight, while others may deem certain number of footsteps as fitness goal measure. Others may see BMI as an ideal measure while more sophisticated people target lean body mass. I personally monitor my weight and waist measurement to reach my ideal fitness goal. Of recent, I had included number of steps as a motivation to reach my goal but I have been inconsistent with it. How do you keep track of your fitness goal? Which do you think is superior modality and why?

I have a pedometer (step counter) widget on my phone's home screen to try and get in the walking for the day. Being able to see that everytime I open my phone is a great motivator to get the numbers up to a healthy rate each day.

Other than that, I try to work out 4 to 5 times a week, doing a PPL (Push, Pull, Legs) workout, rotating how I see fit for proper recovery. Like, one week I'll do Push, Pull, Legs, then take a day off and/or start with Push again. I try to get at least 2 Push days in per week, one of which is chest-centric and the other for my shoulders.

Then, as far as diet goes, it's my typical diet, which has about 100 grams of protein in it. I supplement my diet with 50-75 grams more, as protein is quite expensive to get the traditional way. When I was bodybuilding, I would strictly get 200-220 grams of protein from whole foods, i.e., egg whites, chicken, and fish, but that ran anywhere from $500-1000/month, and as I'm not in a competitive state now, I merely supplement to cut the cost of proteins down significantly.

I usually track fitness through a mix of strength gains, endurance improvements, and how I feel mentally and physically. Progress photos and energy levels are often better indicators than just the number on a scale. I also pay attention to consistency—showing up regularly matters more than perfection.

Try to find a way to motivate yourself for this exercise. It is a very good initiative. There are some apps that earn you money by recording the number of steps you take in a day. You can start from there.

I once used sweatcoin app to track my steps and earn crypto coins. However, later I thought app was useless, so I uninstalled it. Now, I cannot recover my account and I seem to have lost around $50 which I earned through walking.

Can you please list some of such apps. Can you really cashout after all the hardwork and time that you put in? The list of geniune apps are most welcome and I believe all members on this forum can benefit from it. Please share your personal experiences on the apps too, if any. Many thanks.
