Although Hollywood has improved on this really well. The field is still far from diverse. What have you observed that made you think that there is need for a change? What more needs to be done?

Certainly, in my opinion, I believe that good steps have been taken because a few years ago there were very fewer representations of people of color and women in Hollywood films and television series too. Popular examples we need to look at are titles like Crazy Rich Asians’ and ‘Black Panther’. They indicated that producers get a positive return on diversity. But as far as who gets to appear in front of the camera or sit in the producer chair, people of color are still marginalized.

That is quite true, we see a bit more diversity in Hollywood today. But there are still groups that require better and more diverse representations in films. I’d also love to see better representation for people of colour and other marginalised groups to be able to bring their ideas and vision to the industry.
