Since I love language I have thought about what life would be like if everyone speaks and shared the same language. I’m curious on the effect it would have when one shared same language. I think it’s an avenue to bring people together versus making different cultures blend into one. But we need to see that cultural identiy needs to be protected because that will be a big challenge.

Of course, if everyone speaks the same language, it will foster unity. But that doesn't mean it will blend all the numerous cultures into one. That might be difficult to achieve since there are a lot of tribes and cultures out there.
But one language will break that language barrier, which makes everyone be able to communicate regardless of the tribe or culture.

One universal language would make communication and international partnerships faster than they are today. When you travel anywhere you would find it simple to talk with residents because you guys speaks the same language. Opening international connections between people and organizations would become also much more easier through this.

I see why people imagine a universal language to be the best but yet to become a reality because of cultural specifics. Human culture is defined by many distinct languages which we speak. It connect us to our roots. As good as this method sounds, it would spread western culture and possibly eliminate the existing languages.

There is a beautiful story in the Bible. Once people had one language and they joined together to create a tower that would taken them to the heaven. God sensing what is going to happen, created multiple languages that confused people and they couldn't communicate well. Their dream to reach haven shattered. One language will will certainly unify the world but it will also destroy the history and culture of other races and ethnicity.
