Plus, Brad Pitt’s upcoming Formula 1 film is set to add more momentum to the genre, making it a great time for a high-speed comeback.

Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has also sung the film's praises, calling it his favorite racing movie and noting its mix of big-budget spectacle with classic racing-film fun.

I haven't seen the original Days of Thunder, but I will if this sequel comes to fruition. I don't think an older racing movie would interest me as much unless I had an update on it, just because of how filming has changed so much.

The theater experience of a racing movie, especially if in 4DX (seating that moves with the movie), is great as when it goes into first-person view, it feels like you're in the movie and in the driver's seat.

Wow! Tom Cruise is good at what he does. I’m excited that he’s making another "Days of Thunder" movie because I'm a big fan of the first one. I believe that this would be a hit since "Top Gun" was a hit. I keep my fingers crossed.

Actually, I'm really hoping that they will make it fresh and new too. I want to see some cool electric cars or probably tell us how racing cars are made. It's just an opinion! This is something other racing movies are doing already.

I have watched Top Gun as well as the sequel. Both of the movies are connected and I liked the sequel as well. I have not watched Days of Thunder and if they actually come up with sequel, I will certainly watch Days of Thunder.
