Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
I watched Platform 2 last night, having seen the original some years ago. I thought it was going to be a good watch with a bit of morals, ethics, and brutal justice for those breaking the rules like the previous one.

Like the original, the platform is filled with food that each prisoner requested as food that they'd eat for life. The platform goes level by level once per day visiting each cell of two people from level 1 down 333. Some prisoners stay loyal and only eat what they requested, while others will break the internal laws set and eat other people's food, leaving the lower levels with nothing to eat. Each month, the cellmates are swapped to a new level, so their experience in the platform cells changes, for the better or the worst.

However. apart from what the original offered, it introduced a whole new story that just left me lost and confused.

If you want to watch something mind-numbing, this is for you.

Maybe after you watch it, you can try to explain to me what I missed.

I'd give it a 2/5 for the entertainment value, but a 0/5 for the confusing storyline.

If you have watched the first part of the platform, you’ll agree with me that it's simply the same with this one. I still think that Platform 2 shouldn't be made at all. It seems Netflix is all out to creatively make titles just to make some money. This is crazy!

What I'm saying might be strange to those who haven't watched the first part. I’m not saying that the film isn't good. Of course, they got so many things right. It's tight, and the pacing is good. Even the characters were well-developed.

There are even life lessons to learn from it. Of course, it tells us now people can be so cruel and violent. And how some people are so capable of doing very bad stuff without feeling remorseful.

This film is tight but there is nothing new in it.

I don't ever recall the kids being introduced, but then I'd have to rewatch the first one to verify that. That's what threw me for a loop.

If the kids weren't in the first movie, then it introduced a new subplot to the mix.

I didn't see the children in Platform 1 as well. I think the developers of this film are trying to leave some details ambiguous for the viewers. They were suddenly introduced in part 2. That being said, there are a lot of lessons to learn here. I think the film teaches about the dirty politics in our society. The people at the top are selfish and don't care about those at the bottom.
It's good film!

Based on what I deduced from the film, I think the children are significant and they represent purity. They are like the price for winning. I didn't see them in the first part, too.

But, what do you win? I'm just so confused.

The whole idea of Platform 2 was sent very quickly to the viewers. There is no time to puzzle and the message was conveyed in a very engaging way. It's a film that tells us more about survival. I also like the fact that it's a quick watch. You might also want to watch too!

If you look at both films, the heroes spare their lives to save the children. You recall that the lowest floor is 333 and that’s where the child is. The film tells us that the protagonist finds redemption after rescuing a child at the lowest floor and in doing so, they regain their freedom. That's what I meant by "price for winning"
