Friend of my suggested this TV series to me a year ago and I decided to give it a shot and I didn't regret it. It's full of humor, but they also try to show real history. Of course, all of this is done in a funny way and often without any truth in it. I love how main actress looks like. Gosh she is so beautiful. The way she talks, smiles, her voice, her skin.. Of course, she is not like that in real life but for this role it's fantastic.

I also like to see a conflict between "old way" which is the church and modern ways which is science. Those two are often in conflict here but they have to cooperate from time to time. I recommend it!

I'm not too much into movies or series set in this era, and it's not because it's boring or anything.

I just think that with modernity, they tend to leave out so much, let's say, unimportant details about living such as daily routines to even communications that we take for granted today.

I'll put it on my radar and see if, after the first episode or two, it can hook me in and change my mind on this genre.

The Great is one of the most amazing shows I have watched. It tells us about Catherine, who is a strong and brave queen. Because of her wisdom and brevity, she was able to change Russia. Although she faces a lot of challenges while learning to lead. The show is very funny and full of adventure too. I love the beautiful costumes. I also observed that the settings bring 18th-century Russia to life for real. But it's disheartening that it was canceled.

The Great is a comedy drama based on the rise of Catherine. She is the longest reigning female ruler in Russia's history. It shows Catherine in her youth and her marriage with Emperor Peter.

Nicholas Hoult and Elle Fanning are two great talented actors and they did a great job in this show. Nicholas Hoult has the charm and charisma. He was killing people just because he wants to live up to his father's expectations of being the Emperor of Russia and he has all that pressure on him.

I was very impressed by the show because I was entertained. It took me about two days to finish it. I would recommend you all check it out.

The Great is watchable but I think that the Nicholas got it all wrong in his quest to becoming the Emperor. I mean, he could have been nicer to his people. Nicholas Hoult is such a fascinating character to watch. He’s an entertaining character and he did a great job in this role. Catherine played by Elle Fanning is the lead of this show. She is such a great actress I am so impressed by her acting. She tried to overthrow her husband, The Emperor. She nailed everything

There are certain moments that the pacing is a little bit off and it was a little repetitive especially in her plan to overthrow the Emperor. The storyline of Andrew Garcia was a little dull and uninteresting. He was the one helping Catherine out in taking over her husband's position to become the Empress and the queen of Russia. There were some pacing issues and not all the jokes are fascinating to me but it's a great show overall.
