Polo G's sophomore album, The Goat, dropped on May 15, 2020, under Columbia Records. The project includes collaborations with artists like Mustard, Juice Wrld, Stunna 4 Vegas, NLE Choppa, Mike Will Made It, Lil Baby, and BJ the Chicago Kid. Notable singles such as "Heartless" (featuring Mustard), "DND," and "Go Stupid" (with Stunna 4 Vegas and NLE Choppa, featuring Mike Will Made It) were all released ahead of the album.

The Goat made a strong debut, landing at number two on the Billboard 200 with 104,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, including 14,000 in pure album sales. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified the album Platinum on December 10, 2020, for surpassing one million units in sales. Critics generally responded positively to the album.

I've had this album on for a while now...

The songs that I liked the best were (#02) "Heartless," (#04) "Flex," (#05) "Go Stupid," (#06) "21," and (#16) "Wishing for a Hero."

However, I only added (#04) "Flex" (RIP Juice WRLD) and (#16) "Wishing for a Hero," because of the Tupac - "Changes" remix/beat that it has, to my cardio playlist.

The Goat is a good album because he was just an upcoming artist when he made it. I can't deny the fact that there are tracks that he misses a lot from. Some of them are scanty and his raps are repetitive. Although there are good lyrical moments, like in track “21”,. He did an amazing job on that track.

On track “21” he was rapping about how he’s going to work hard to get to the top. Which is amazing. The zeal in that song is great! He says he would work hard until he gets to the top. The beat is also very smooth.

My best track in this album is Beautiful Pain. It's the track I flow with so well. He flows so well and I enjoyed every bit of it. This song shows a lot of potential in him. The album is good but not without flaws. I'm giving it 3 out of 5.

There are some tracks to dance to on the album. For instance, Don't Believe The Hype is a good song. I think it's the best track to open the album. There are life lessons to pick from the lyrics. He was talking about a drug lifestyle. He's preaching to the people who are into drugs. That's a good one!

I have also listened to DND, and I flow with it, too. Gucci Mane may not be at his best on this album but he tried to make a point. The piano sound in the closing track, “Wishing For A Hero” is good to some extent.

I still think that there are lots of positive things to take away from the album because he's trying to make a mark in the industry. I’ll recommend the album. There are songs you can smoke to there.
