discuss The Death of Physical Media: Should We Be Concerned?

A thread covering the latest news on trends, groundbreaking technologies, and digital innovations reshaping the tech landscape.
I have fully transitioned to digital space. It was due to my lack of feelings for the physical copies. The convenience that streaming provides exceeds the need to buy the media content.

Digital space is much better than the physical media. You can get more content via digital with ease unlike when it has to do with the physical media.

DVDs, CDs, and even Blu-rays are disappearing in favor of digital access. But what happens when streaming rights expire or content is removed? Are we sacrificing ownership for convenience? Do you still buy physical media?
I think it's best to by dvds and cd's if you'd like to save them for later. However, physical media has been dying down for many years now. Music is now all basically on streaming apps and games are moving to digital as well.

I don't see too many people buying physical media these days, but as long as you support them, I'd continue to buy it.

You could also try burning movies or shows that you like onto a disc, so you'll always have a copy of them. I tend to keep all my music downloaded on my phone or my laptop, so I'll always have them available.

If they do, maybe people can start going outside more, going to a walk, and reconnecting with their loved ones.

I don't buy physical media and haven't for years.
