The rate at which kids can get addicted to gaming nowadays is alarming. I overheard a boy saying that he was up all night playing Fortnite, he went to sleep at 4 am! It got me wondering how his parents can possibly be alright with that.
I believe that kids gaming time should be strictly monitored to prevent them going overboard.

I do not think it is goo to watch them over their shoulder while they play games, however, I do believe parents should know what games their kids are playing and what kind of gaming activities they are involved with

I don't either, but I like to know which games she is playing so that I can prevent her from playing anything that I would have something against, just in case. However, I try to show an interest in her life by popping in and asking her how it's going from time to time.

I do put a time limit lock on gaming though. I would say that at one point she got addicted, or the time just flew one too many times where she'd be on a game too long and not do her homework. So, she has 2 hours, and the lock is lifted if everything else required of her is done after that.
