Most parts of the world operate universal suffrage. This requires that when once a person gets to a specified age, they would be eligible to vote.

Come to think of it. Don't you think we would have better leaders if a minimum academic attainment is required to vote? That means only the informed citizens would be allowed to vote. Do you think we would have better leaders this way?
 
It's often an excuse to consolidate oppression. For instance, African Americans were denied the vote via poll taxes (one method).

I think that it would be abused.

I know many people who are not high school graduates but can still comprehend who to vote for based on their beliefs.

I think something like this is 100% pure corruption.
 
I would disagree with a condition like this. I think voting rights should be giving of all people who has reached certain age. However, I believe there should be minimum educational qualification for contesting in the elections. In our country some lawmakers never studied beyond 8th grade. What can you expect from lawmakers like these?
