After listening to many many artists intricately, I have been able to pick up the characteristics of many artists that I like. Now, as soon as a song plays, if I am familiar with the artists, I can immediately identify them. This makes me appreciate their vocals even better. Are you able to identify artists based on their vocals?

Not exactly. I can't really identify a lot of artists from their voice alone, might need to check the details, not like that's a big deal for me anyway.
For the most part, I can identify bands/groups by their instruments or vocals.
There are very few times I'm wrong, and it's typically from a come-up artist who has a similar sound. I know like 90% of the time it's not who I think it is, but there's still a shadow of a doubt that they might be trying something new, so I give it a check. Either way, if I like the song, I'll add it to my playlist.

Because I listen to a wide range of music, it has helped me to develop an ear for recognizing artists. Sometimes it could be tone or a unique vocal that set them about.
There are some artists that just one note they sing, I would recognize it is them. I know for sure that I can recognize Chris Brown by his voice. I can recognize Lil Wayne and Drake by their voices. I can recognize some Nigerian artists that I really follow by their voices.
