discuss Most you’ve paid watching a movie in theaters?

This is a thread to discuss anything related to movies.
A few weeks ago, I took my son to watch a movie in the theater, I spent around 3000 in local currency, which is equivalent to $25. This is the highest amount I have spent watching a movie.
Wow. That's super expensive. Was it for just one movie that you watched or you watched several movies? The most expensive movie in the theaters in my country won't ever be more than $6. A movie that is more expensive than that would have very low turnout.

My wife and I will typically watch movies on Fridays because our cellphone plan gives us 500 yen (approx $3.50) off with a coupon, so it would be 1000 yen ($7) per ticket. Though we'll always grab about 1500 yen ($10.50) in soda and snacks to go along with the movie. So, altogether, about 3500 yen ($24.50) to watch a movie for us two.

But, there are times that I put comfort over savings, and also won't be able to see the movie on a Friday due to a schedule conflict. In these cases, the tickets are 2200 yen ($15.40) for a comfy premium seat. All in, it's 5900~ yen ($41.30~) for a better movie-going experience.

That was for just one show, for me and my kid. It was Minecraft movie. The cost include ticket price and snacks inside the theatre.
