Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
I saw this movie in theaters a couple of nights ago, and I have mixed feelings about it. The story feels pretty familiar. It is about someone who has lost everything and goes on a revenge spree against those who wronged them. It is that classic “rise up fueled by anger” plot centered around violence and payback. The action scenes are intense, but they do not have the style or punch of something like John Wick.

The movie tries to bring in some political stuff, like nationalism and losing freedoms and rights. These themes are not super deep, but they add a bit of weight to the story, even if it feels a bit obvious. Overall, the plot is simple but goes on longer than it should. Still, the action is exciting and keeps you watching, even if the story is not that deep.

Monkey Man is an awesome movie and I must congratulate Jordan Peele and Dev Patel on his great film. The way that this movie draws you in is so incredible and it was such a brilliant concept.

This movie has such a great pace that I don’t even think it’s two hours. It's interesting for its battles. All in all I like watching every part of movie, but the bloody scenes are my favorite ones
