Mia Goth has signed on for Christopher Nolan’s next big project, The Odyssey, joining an already stacked cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, and more. Universal Pictures has set a July 17, 2026, release date for the epic adaptation of Homer’s classic poem.

While some actors might have only brief but impactful roles, Goth’s part may not involve speaking at all, according to sources. Nolan is keeping plot details under wraps, but given the mythological nature of The Odyssey, she could be playing a siren, a goddess, or even a statue.
Goth as a siren makes perfect sense. She’s got that eerie, hypnotic presence that would be perfect for luring sailors to their doom. Who else in the cast do we think could be playing mythological figures?

The film will follow King Odysseus’ long and treacherous journey home from the Trojan War, encountering gods, monsters, and dangers along the way. Meanwhile, his wife and son must fend off suitors trying to claim his throne in Ithaca. Filming is set to begin in multiple locations later this month.

Goth’s last role was in MaXXXine, the conclusion to Ti West’s horror trilogy. Now, she’s making the jump from indie horror to a massive Nolan blockbuster, proving her versatility as an actress. Universal has yet to comment on her specific role in The Odyssey.
Seeing Mia Goth in a Nolan film is exciting! She’s been killing it in horror, but this could be her biggest mainstream role yet. What do we think—will she get to showcase her acting chops, or is she destined to be just an eerie, silent presence?
