I believe they're making it. I'm not sure what the script will be or how they plan to bring John back, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

But hadn't he died in the end? I don't think there is a way to bring John back to life, unless of course, it is some replacement for him, which is perfectly possible and someone else is the protagonist, taking into account the time we are in, I don't think so. I would be surprised if it is a female protagonist, don't ask me why
