Race is usually interpreted as a social construct, however, the consequences are real. Do you think race exists because society enforces it, or is it a meaningful identity? Can a society function without racial categories, or are they necessary for representation and justice? How do concepts of race differ across cultures and societies?

I believe racial identity is primarily a social construct, shaped by historical, cultural, and societal influences. While there are biological differences between populations, the categories and meanings we attach to race are often arbitrary and fluid. Racial identity can impact personal experiences, but it doesn't define an essential, unchanging reality.

I think it's a meaningful identity that all races should be proud of their heritage, culture, etc. However, ...

We are all 1 People. Take race out of the equation. We're all trying to do our part to build a better society, despite what the news feeds you.
Martin Luther King said:
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.“
We need to look back and acknowledge history, but come to the ultimate conclusion that, today, we are a merit-based society. You don't get to move to the front of the line because of your skin color; you get to proudly stand in the front of the line because you have the athleticism, test scores, etc. to claim that position, and rightfully so, whether you're Black, White, Hispanic, etc., as it doesn't matter about your race.

I think all democratic societies are merit based but sadly it is hard for the people who have been subjugated since many years come to the forefront. In our country, marginalized races and groups are given 33 percent reservation but sadly this provision is usually hijacked by the elites from that group of people.
