Monogamy has long been the dominant relationship model in many societies, but is it biologically or socially driven? Some argue it’s unnatural, while others see it as essential for stability. Do you believe monogamy is the best relationship model, or should alternative structures be normalized?

Monogamy was created by humans to erode the perceived disadvantage that women had in polygamy. For a man that produces reproductive cells every minute of a lifetime, monogamy wasn't the original biological idea.

Humans are not animals. It is animals that procreate indiscriminately with different females. Monogamy might not be a biological construct. But it has helped to impose order on the world. And that order is what differentiates humans from animals in general.

I think the question should be what relationship structure works best for you as individuals or for the societies especially when factors like fulfillment, equality and stability are to be considered.
