Many ladies in my place would always say that you must take money from your man. They say that it is a proud thing that your man gives you money, regardless of whether you as a woman has enough money to take care of your needs.

Do you think that a man must always give his woman money as a natural order of romantic relationships?

Man has always held the role of the "responsible care-giver", in a marriage since in time memorial. That is how and why men are looked upon as supporters, either emotional or financial. The women, in the marriage are seen as the receiver of the orders, cash, favors, food and support. These has naturally been carried over and it is quite normal for a man to be expected to provide for his woman/wife regardless of her financial status. However, men who are "receivers" are also not rare these days

I understand that women as the weaker vessels are calibrated to receive and be cared for by their men. But the challenge with it is that my gender wants to capitalise on this to be leeches which is not proper. I give and support my man too.

It’s not a natural order, it's more of a cultural or societal expectation shaped by traditional gender roles. In many societies, men have historically been seen as providers, which led to the norm of them giving money in relationships. But in modern, healthy relationships, financial support should be based on mutual understanding, respect, and circumstances, not gender.

It certainly looks natural as this is not just cultural practice but also demanded by law in a condition like divorce.
