Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
It appears that I've run out of English movies to watch on Netflix and have to resort to what overseas has to offer. iHostage was one such foreign film appearing in the top 10 this week.

It's not that I dislike foreign films; it's that the English dubbing makes them harder to watch when the TV volume is down. On a side tangent, I hope that Flawless AI can solve this issue by visually matching the lip syncing to the dubbing for all future releases, which they recently did with the Swedish film "Watch the Skies", as it'll make them more enjoyable for me to watch.

iHostage is classified in three categories: Thriller, crime, and drama. I would take it out of the thriller category as there's not much in the film that puts you on your toes, except the ending, which is less than 5 minutes of the entire film.

It's somewhat of a slow movie, but it's decent. As a true crime drama, it kind of makes you sympathetic towards the villain character, when, for a true crime, it shouldn't be portrayed that way, in my opinion.

I'd give it a 3/5 and say that it's worth watching anyway.
