Yes, age does affect mental activity to a certain extent but the more I meet the elderly population the more I realize that instead of being wiser they are actually getting more adamant. For example, when an elderly man decides to stop medications saying, "I know my blood pressure is now normal, I have checked, then why use medicines?" Despite logic and counselling, elderly people are adamant to change their viewpoint. Is age the only factor behind this change?

As I grow, I feel myself becoming more wiser
I feel that this is true for pretty much everyone, because through learned experience, we
fall for fakes less
as we gain the intuition to know what is right and what isn't.

At 40, I'm pretty content with life
Two years off, but much the same.
I think things through before I get too bent out of shape.
But, there are times when I can snap. It's typically due to extremes, though.

Bad drivers is really the only thing that makes me snap.
I can deal with bad drivers quite fine, probably due to the lower speed limits and more reaction time.

The ones I can't deal with are the idiots that lane split and still think (they do, blindly) that they have the right of way, but my car dealt with one not too long ago. A story for another day. 🤐
