off-topic How do you sleep? With or without light?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
I'm just like you! I want my room to be as dark as possible to sleep. The least amount of light would bother me; it makes it hard for me to sleep. That’s why I use black curtains and turn off all the lights. My mom onces says it is so because our bodies require the dark as a sign that it is time to go to sleep. It tells our body that it's time to shut down .

I can’t sleep with the lights on. I need total darkness to sleep well. I don’t know how anyone can sleep with the lights on.🤣
With lights over my head when I'm trying to sleep will be practically impossible for me to close my eyes. My eyes are very sensitive to light which makes it a chore for me to sleep with.

Sleeping when my TV is on happens all the time with me especially when I'm tired but instead of going to bed, I will force myself to see a movie or show. I wouldn't know when I slept off.
It depends on my mood. Sometimes I cannot have my TV on when I'm trying to fall asleep, or I put on a movie that makes me get tired.

Sometimes, I would be able to block out the TV's movie sound and fall asleep. The day I would want absolute quietness, I wouldn't want anything making a sound.

Whenever I'm tucked in for sleep at night, all the lights in my room goes off. As long as I can see any kind of light, my eyes wouldn't be able to close for me to sleep. Lights makes it impossible for me to sleep.

Do you find it easy to sleep with lights on or off? Do you use those sleeping lights?
Having the lights on prevents me from easily falling asleep. I like switching off the lights whenever I'm about to sleep. But when I'm extremely tired, the lights don't distract me at all.

If you're too weak, your body will react in the same tune. You won't know when you sleep off. It happens to me whenever I overwork myself in the day.

I sleep without light, I find harder to sleep in a well lit room. However, if I am under pressure to wake up early in the morning, I sleep with lights on and normally I use diffused light for this purpose.

I would simply have music playing softly in the background when I need to wake up early. I wouldn't sleep deep with the music playing. If I turn, I will wake up.
