off-topic How do you feel if your younger one has more success than you?

Imagine you are the eldest of all your siblings. And you have always strived to be successful financially. And by some happenings, your younger brother turns out to be more financially successful than you by a far margin. Would you feel like you have failed? Would you be comfortable around that your younger brother?

Such won't even bother me. I have never been the type that can be held responsible financially by anyone. So, if any of my siblings is doing better than me whether younger or older, I won't worry much about that.

This is nice! Siblings should build in love and not hatred. There is no need for anyone to be jealous of their loved ones. It doesn't make any sense to me at all.

It depends on the kind of household you grow in.

In a competitive household, it would be looked down upon but in a non-competitive hosuehold, this may not be the case. On the other had, in reality, despit ethe odds of anyone saying it out loudly is rare, it should be a mix of both.

My younger brother is more successful than me, he has maintained a good size stock portfolio, he recently invested in real estate, and lives a better life. Am I jealous? Hello no. In fact it makes me very happy. I am proud to say he is my brother.

If your brother is not into any form of power play with you, then there is no reason for you not to be happy they are successful even if they are more successful than you. Some younger brothers would want to use it that financial success to usurp the authority of the elder brother in family affairs.

I'm very happy for everything in my life. If my younger ones are more wealthy than me, it's even a good thing because the younger ones are supposed to be well made than the older ones. As long as they are putting the family first in all they do with their money, I'm very good with it.
