Suffering from low self esteem is a big psychological problem which can make someone give up on himself. It makes someone think he/she is good for nothing. It's very hard for such person to be in a relationship because they will keep feeling overwhelmed always.

How do you develop friendships if you feel you have nothing to offer?

Friendship is not about offering something, it is about sharing and caring. If you have low self esteem, you might have difficulties in developing friendship but if you already have friends, they might help you with your low esteem. They might boost your morale.

One should be able to give if they are hoping to have something back. I believe it is why friendship is all about being selfless and not basically focusing on giving all the time.

I’ve felt like I have nothing to offer in friendships sometimes, especially during tough moments like work stress. To develop friendships, I focus on small, genuine gestures, like listening attentively over coffee at a local cafe or sharing a laugh about a movie we both love. I show curiosity, asking about their hobbies during a walk in the park, and offer support, like helping with a small task at their place. Being authentic, even just chatting about daily life in my cozy living room, builds trust.
