Whether you are a content creator, freelancer, website owner, self employed online worker, or entrepreneur, you need an online presence for your reputation. To succeed online, your digital footprint must be visible, credible, and engaging. How do you do it?

  • Create a professional website or blog and optimize it for SEO
  • Be active on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Post regularly and engage with your audience
  • Use SEO and digital marketing strategies to drive traffic
Your goal is to make it easy for people to find you and trust your brand. By the way, do you have a strong online presence?

I can honestly say that I have a strong online presence. My main twitter account has over 2k followers, my facebook page has over 2,900 followers and I have a lot of karma on Reddit.

I don't have a lot of followers on Bluesky though as I'm rarely active though, but I have about 89 followers on there. My name dates back to the early 2000's, so I'm quite known among online communities as well.

Building my name up as taken me years ago, but I'd honestly say I'm quite known on the internet.

You've got to be talking always. Be an authority in a niche and that is what will make one get more followers on their pages online. As long as you are that active, everything gets better with time.
This is the main thing. If you're actively engaging on any platform, you'll be able to build a strong online presence. I'm a talkitive person, so it's quite easy for me to blend in on any network.

I also use social media to network and meet new friends. As long as you do this, you'll be able to build a nice online presence. I'm not so worried about the following count or anything like that, just the networking effect. As the more people that enjoy your posts, the more they'll share your content and interact with you.

Great tips – building trust and visibility online really is key!
I’m still working on growing my online presence, mostly through social media and community platforms like this.
Creating a personal website is next on my list — thanks for the reminder!
