if you can you book your ride in advance or hrfire hand so that you are sure of your ride and you getting on it on time as well
It is quite simple to make a public transport system effective once you are able to do these three things. The first thing is considering advance booking. Secondly, ensure you consider real-time scheduling and lastly incorporate mobile apps to make life convenient for commuters.
There are ideally three things I would love to see in public transportation of today -
1. Safety and security - I believe that a large part of users of public transport systemsare women and children. If we cant guarantee them thier security, any such investments are merely a half hearted measure.
2. Punctuality - mass Transit systems serves their purpose only when people repeatedly use them. for this repetitive use to happen, it should be on time and as per schedule. You cant expect people to use a transport system to commute to their office when its later, everyday.
3. Cheap and cost effective. If its not chea, its not 'public transport' and its definitely not 'mass transport'.
