With rising stress among children and teens, how can parents be more supportive? Have you ever struggled to talk to your child about emotions and mental health? What strategies have helped in building trust with your kid? How do you open conversations with about something as delicate as mental health?

Parents need active listening to help their child feel secure while they also share their emotions too. We should never underestimate the power of one-to-one discussions as well. It helps to develop trust between parents and children. To promote open communication with my children, I make myself approachable without displaying judgment toward them.

I think there are three important things that parents can do to ensure the well being of their children.

1. Be an active listener and a keen observer. With that, you can help build a early earning system .

2. Leave your kids free. At times, children wants to explore, fight, heal and learn it all by themselves. This is the animal instict of man and you simply cannot stop it.

3. Know who your children's friends are and what they are spending on.
