Crowdfunding is a cool way to make money or get financial support from total strangers online. As long as you have a plan worth selling to the general public which can influence their sentiments in order to donate money for the cause, it's going to work effectively.

What's your experience with using crowdfunding to raise money like?

I haven't used crowdfunding to raise money as I don't have any reason to. I'm not raising money for a game, a major app or anything like that.
Some people are not honest with themselves or anything they are doing in this life. I've witnessed some set up a crowdfunding account only to use and scam people who donated to their cause.

I haven't raised funds for myself but 10 years ago when my family was trapped in earthquake zone an American friend organized a GoFundMe campaign and raised $650 to help me move my family from earthquake zone.
You have a very good friend. I hope all your family came out safe from that horrible natural disaster?

No, I haven’t used crowdfunding to raise money, but I have contributed to a few campaigns. I believe it's a great way to support causes and projects that align with my values or help people in need.
It's the same with me too. I've donated to a few of them whenever I see the reason why the crowdfunding account was set up is something I can support because it's a good agenda.

I've seen this happen as well. Some are generally taken down by the platform, but others aren't. It's a shame that this happens.

I had often thought about using Crowdfunding to help with some things, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt guilty asking others to help with some things.

I do like the concept of Crowdfunding, though, and if you have an idea that you can pitch that people are confident in, it could help you with a startup, which could, in most cases, change lives.
