Indian-American Guru, Bikram Yogi created Bikram Yoga also called Hot Yoga. American people went gaga with Bikram Yoga during the 70s. This method of Yoga is still very popular but these days no body calls it Bikram Yoga as Bikram Yogi was involved in some controversy. Hot Yoga is the common term for Bikram Yoga. Have you tried Hot Yoga? How did it feel?

I was watching a video about it the other day.

I guess there is some risk with it. You can get dehydrated, easily. You can overheat and some people have reported heart problems. I guess you need to check your health before you do it.

Have any of you who's tried it had any sort of health issues from it? What are you doing to ensure that you are able to do it without killing over?

Wow. It looks interesting, but I am wondering if anyone has made any research with regards to the use of HOT YOGA and how its more beneficial that the yoga that you do in a room with optimal temperature.

Without literature, it is very difficult to believe or vouch for anything at all.
Bikram Yogi created Hot Yoga to mimic the climatic conditions of India, where Yoga originated. He believed yoga done in hot and humid climate can be more beneficial. There has been no research, thoug

But think about it, why does he think it will be more effective?

Yoga done in any part of the world is as good as that done in India. To say otherwise, we need literature that is based on the evidence. With lifestyle disease and mental health disorders progressing along with popularity of Yoga, its difficult to believe that Yoga done in India is more effective than when it is done elsewhere.

why does he think it will be more effective?
I don't know how on earth he came up with that theory. But if you check on Indian gurus, who are mostly popular in the west, you will see most of them have devised a theory that are quite controversial.
