There was a time when smartphone rooting was very popular. I'm quite sure some people are still doing it for one reason or another.

If you've rooted your smartphone before what was the reason why you did it? Which smartphone brand were you making use of then?

Phone rooting has become less popular unlike what it was some years back. Now, we have more sophisticated devices with constant security updates. I have had the course to root my phone sometimes back to have more access to customization options.
